Living with Lyme – Journal Entry 09262020 –

Some times the shit just gets too real. Its 5am, my heart monitor lit up as I’m lying awake in bed. Not sure what woke me up. Was it a dream, a noise, the fact that my left shoulder and upper arm are twitching, or just the normal aches and pains you feel with this disease.
Of course this week is not anything like my new normal week. Started out a visit with a cardiologist. Nice enough group. I was the nurse’s interesting patient of the day. Guess they don’t see to many Lymies. Classic traditional medical questions that we Lymies face.
Are you feeling any pain today? Where do you start…i will spare you the list. If you have lyme you know. And if you don’t, this post would get too long and you would probably jump off my website post before finishing this entry in my journal.
The other question is the, “Are you taking any medications?” Again where do I begin. I have to remember to write them all down and bring them with me. They have know idea what the herbal tinctures are and clearly are not in their system.

Speaking of systems, at least they had Borreliosis – Carditis , Babesiosis and Ehrlichiosis in there. Well the end result of the visit is I’m wearing this heart monitor on my chest for a week. It is taped to my chest with

Carditis Check

surgical tape and it talks with a cellphone monitor that sends a 24/7 reading to my doctor. My shoulder only started twitching after i hooked up the monitor. I had to shave an area of.my chest where its taped to me. Reminded me of a Seinfeld episode, where Jerry started shaving his chest hair. Very funny one. Hope i don’t get a funny hairy patch.

Its still dark out, but quiet on the porch. I guess i will stop here and get some coffee.
As you can tell, everyone’s Lyme disease story is different.

Is this working for you? Should I continue to share? Let me know in the comments below.
